Cheshire League

1874 Northwich Women’s Walking Football have been involved with the Cheshire League since it was conceived, initially as monthly tournaments and more recently as a monthly league competition. We have two teams that regularly take part, 1874 Weavers and 1874 Danes.

The first competition took place in the Autumn of 2024, and involved seven teams, including two from 1874, Weavers and Danes. 1874 Weavers were the inaugural winners, with Danes in 4th.

A second league competition, a Womens 40+ Division under the Cheshire Walking Football League commenced in Spring 2025, this time with just five teams, Weavers, Danes, Egerton, Nantwich and Chester. Despite a few teething troubles, the season concluded in May 2025, with Weavers again crowned the League Champions.
